Tripsichore Yoga Theatre-
Producer, Stage Manager and Graphic Designer
South Florida/Tampa- 2011 Spring Tour

Edward Clark and Tripsichore take yoga the next level.  They perform and teach world wide melding yoga with modern dance, exploring various disciplines of a very subjective form.  I was hired to produce/stage manage a one night show at The Broward Centers Amaturo Theatre as well as handle booking for workshops at local studios and all marketing and promotional materials.   We staged a grass roots promotional push, making appearances to demo Tripsichore at local venues.  Click the flyer to see a few examples of my graphic design for Tripsichore's Spring 2011 tour.  Click here to read more about my experience with Tripsichore or visit www.tripsichore.com

Red Pearl Yoga 2010 Yoga Calendar-
Project Manager/Model
Fort Lauderdale, FL.

I was Event Chair for the 2010 "RelayFor Life" Oakland Park and Wilton Manors.  Relay For Life is a community camp out event that benefits the American Cancer Society.  In an effort to not only raise money but to raise awareness I decided to create a Yoga Calendar.   The creation of this calendar was funded by Karen Gavrilov owner of Red Pearl Yoga.  Karen and I collaborated with the photographers, models, graphic designer and printer to create a product that represented each of us.  With many cooks in the kitchen it was my job to ensure the integrity of the project was maintained with regard to how we represented the instructors and the studio.  We did a limited edition print of 200 copies and sold out generating $4500 to be donated to Relay For Life.

Rodriguez/Goodfriend Wedding-
Event Planner, Floral Design
Madison, WI.

Nancy Rodriguez contacted me frantic, she was getting married pretty suddenly and in Wisconsin of all places.  Nancy and I grew up in Brooklyn NY and shared our childhood dreams of what our wedding day would look like.  I was lucky enough to make that dream a reality for her.  With her and her future husband based in NYC and me in Fort Lauderdale the wedding was planned without even seeing the venues or meeting with any local vendors.  I coordinated all aspects of the event including photography, food, dj/entertainment, ceremonies and designed and built all floral arrangements and bouquets.  Oh yeah, I was the maid of honor too ;)

Rosie's Bar and Grill- Stonewall Event/Parade Float Designer and Coordinator
for a 3 Day Extravaganza
Wilton Manors, FL.

Every year Wilton Manors closes off their main drag (no pun intended) and hosts a parade/ festival to commemorate the 1969 Stonewall Riots which are credited for beginning the gay rights movement.  Businesses gay and straight submit floats for the parade and host weekend of events.  You could imagine a certain amount of flare is expected.  Rosie's hired me to not only design and create their float and decor for the event but also to be the MC for all three days.  Here is a photo chronicle from begging to end.  Day one was dinner and a viewing of the original John Waters movie "Hairspray" outdoors under a 100' tent, day two is the parade and after party and finally day three we deconstruct the float, move it to the tent as decor for the T-Dance with over 1000 attendees.  Special thanks to the Broward Center and the Parker Playhouse for use of their space and resources,
Tate Tenorio and the volunteers from Rosie's staff that supplied a whole lot of elbow grease.
